The translation of Tagalog is: Riverinhabitant. In 1989 a copperplate was found in the neighborhood of Manila with an inscription. The proof that Tagalog is from the year 900. Around 22 million people speak Tagalog, also called Filipino.

When you are in the Philippines and you are dealing with the local communities, Tagalog lessons might be interesting and useful. The Tagalog for starters is for everybody who wants to learn to speak Tagalog. As a volunteer, intern or TEFL teacher you will be having a lot of benefit by taking some lessons.

Even though a lot of people speak and understand English, it is easier to communicate in Tagalog when you live in the local communities. Being able to speak Tagalog is highly recommended.

The Tours & Training desk offers Tagalog lessons. You will learn how to speak and understand Tagalog in an interactive way. You will also learn a lot about the Philippines and the Filipinos. World Experience Philippines suggests individual Tagalog lessons. The amount of hours a day is flexible. Before you start a Tagalog course, your expectations and goals are discussed, so the lessons can be effective with your preferences as a basis.

Through these services, we raise awareness about social issues, inspire individuals to bring about social change, and bridge the gap between people from different backgrounds.
